Dane is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist at Aspire Fitness and Rehabilitation and is currently the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Taringa Rovers SFC and the Saint Margaret’s First VIII Squad. He graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology and additionally holds a Level II Australian Strength & Conditioning Association (ASCA) accreditation, a Level II Functional Movement Screen (FMS) accreditation, and a Diploma of Fitness.

Since completion of his Bachelor Degree, Dane has worked with a number of private practices around Brisbane to provide Exercise Physiology services to clients with musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, and metabolic conditions. Dane has most recently been involved working with the Leukaemia Foundation Australia’s exercise program “Fit to Thrive”. Dane believes in a holistic approach to health and wellbeing that focuses on the unique strengths and weaknesses of the individual as well as the particular requirements and demands of their lifestyle. He enjoys working with a range of individuals – from high school students, to seniors, to weekend warriors and elite athletes.

Dane’s personal experience going through several major knee operations has given him a unique perspective on exercise physiology – having experienced its impact as an athlete, as a rehabilitating client, and as the health professional providing treatment. He has an intimate understanding of the physical and emotional toll that sports injuries can have on the individual, which filters through to his treatment approach. His holistic programming philosophy places a high emphasis on enjoyment, self-efficacy, and creating an environment that promotes enthusiasm and compliance.
