Adam is Clinical Manager and a senior Accredited Exercise Physiologist at Aspire Fitness and Rehabilitation (AFR). Adam brings a wealth of knowledge to the group specialising in middle to late stage Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation and Sport Performance Training. Adam graduated from the University of Queensland in 2004 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Exercise Science, and has since completed his Masters Degree specialising in Strength and Conditioning.Being at Aspire Fitness and Rehabilitation since it’s inception Adam is a senior member of staff with 12 years industry experience. Adam’s skills are well recognized having been Head of Athletic Performance at UQ Rugby Club and Academy between 2007 and 2016. He also has had experience working with elite rugby players at the QLD Reds, QLD Reds academy and Melbourne Rebels.

Prior to the London Olympics, Adam worked extensively with numerous members of the Australian Swim Team including Stephanie Rice and Liesel Jones. In 2010 Adam began working with Australian Cricket legend Matthew Hayden. Adam worked one on one to prepare him for the inaugural season of the national Big Bash Competition. He continues to work with “Haydos” ensuring he continues to enjoy a healthy lifestyle post elite sport. Adam has also spent 2 seasons as Head Strength and Conditioning coach of the Redlands Australian Football Club whom play in the NEAFL. Adam has been sought out to work at AFR with national and state level athletes in netball, tennis, rowing, triathlon, athletics and various motor sports.

Adam is fortunate to have a terrific mix of personality traits that draws people from all walks of life. “Ads” as he is known at AFR has a great passion for helping people from those with a healthy outlook to life through to elite athletes. Aspire Fitness and Rehabilitation offers services including injury prevention and rehabilitation, sport specific training, lifting technique and fitness program design. This may be for the weekend warrior training for a specific event like the Bridge to Brisbane or someone looking for a general fitness program to improve their quality of life, health and wellbeing. A great advantage is health rebates are available to get faster, fitter and stronger! Adam also has a keen interest in endurance sports especially long distance running. Ads practices what he preaches having competed in several marathons and ultra marathons.

At Aspire Fitness and Rehabilitation, Adam has worked closely with a number of clients involved in distance running and triathlons. Adam takes great enjoyment working with injured clients getting them back training and competing. The other end of the spectrum Ad’s works with is performance based. He takes pleasure working with clients to get that “performance edge”. Adam does this by developing a specific strength program to compliment their training. Adam is happy to liaise with coaches to ensure the functional strength program compliments the other components of the training program.

Adam has vast experience in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation encompassing working with clients with a variety of conditions from traumatic injury, overuse injury, post surgical interventions, chronic pain and other joint and soft tissue injuries. Adam loves working with his clients and all injury rehabilitation programs designed by him are evidence based and individually designed.
